Yes, I mentioned I felt lucky to be a therapy cat yesterday. And that’s just one of so many things I’m grateful for this Thanksgiving. I have to say my list is pretty unique for a kitty!
- I’m grateful that I get to go on adventures!
Most cats spend all their time at home, and only times they leave are to go to the vet, or when the humans move somewhere new. I get to have adventures a few times every month! And sometimes I go on adventures that take me out of town! I’ve been to ten states and one province so far! And I know my human has lots more plans for me in 2025.
- I’m grateful for my extensive wardrobe!
Most cats hate wearing clothes but I really enjoy it. Because of this, my human can’t resist buying interesting looking outfits for me. For me, wearing clothes is a fun part of my life I look forward to. You should hear me purring when my human pulls out a dress for me to wear.
- I’m also grateful for my photo and video sessions!
I get even more excited about these than my clothes! I was born to be in front of the camera. Plus my sessions are a big part of the time my human and I spend together. I’ve gotten so good with them that when I do paying shoots, the photographer always remarks about how professional I am.
- I’m grateful for all my friends, which includes everyone I’ve ever met!
I’ve never met a stranger, and I mean that literally! I’m always happy to meet new people, and I get to do that through my therapy cat visits and personal appearances. My human is always searching for new opportunities for me to meet people because she understands how friendly I am.
- I’m grateful for my human’s boyfriend!
Other than my human and my social media followers and my breeder, he’s my biggest fan! Okay, that puts him at about 521,673 on the list, so maybe that’s not such a good indicator. But he really does think I’m awesome and he’s always coming up with silly ideas for videos for me. So far, my human has only taken him up on about three of them.
- I’m grateful for the peach kitty!
The fact that a feral cat decided he wanted to hang out with me never ceases to amaze my human. But considering how humans react when they see me, I sort of took it in stride.
- Treats!
Treats are the best thing ever. They may even be up there with adventures and friends.
- And I’m grateful for my human!
She said I didn’t have to mention her, but I figured I should anyway!
I hope you have a nice Thanksgiving with lots of good food, and that you’re spending it with people who mean something to you (even if that’s just yourself). Sometimes it’s hard to be grateful, and if that’s an issue for you this year, at least be kind — to yourself, and to someone else who needs it.
