Thoroughly Poetic Thursday

Angel Sammy and Teddy from Two Spoiled Cats provide an inspiration photo each week to those of us who enjoy writing poetry. This week’s photo is exceptionally beautiful, which is a bit of a change of pace.

The Trap

Intricate lacework woven with precision—
beguiling and mesmerizing—
a trap set for the unsuspecting.

Succulent offering tempting the hungry
to the hunter’s deceptive trap
where the well-fed becomes the meal.

Circuition in its basest form—
always prevalent in nature—
to be admired for its intricacy.

Each week Angel Sammy transmits his poem from the Rainbow Bridge to Teddy for publication. Sammy is an exceptionally talented poet, and we always recommend you read his poem. Please stop over to Two Spoiled Cats by clicking on the poetry badge, to check out Sammy’s poem and get the photo for next week’s challenge.

Thankful Thursday

Most of the thankfuls this week are related to medical issues. That seems to happen a lot when the humans as well the kitties are aging.

I am thankful Dad Tom is getting treatment for the ruptured bursa in his elbow.

Calista Jo’s eosinophilic granuloma on her belly is finally clearing up for which Dad Tom and I are both grateful.

We have continued to have unseasonably cooler weather, which has allowed me to spend time working in the yard. I am grateful for both of these.

I am extremely thankful I was able to get an appointment with the ophthalmologist the day after I called. The next appointment after that was for February 19. Are you kidding me?!

Kitties Blue and I are thankful for those of you who visit and comment on our posts well as for those who participate in our Sunday Selfies blog hop.

And, thank you for joining us today.

I will be participating in the Thankful Thursday blog hop hosted by Angel Brian. You can do the same by clicking on the badge below.
