Porsche the cat is back home with his family six months
after Hurricane Sandy.

I love stories like this. And as a Jersey girl, I especially love this one as I was deeply saddened by the destruction of Sandy in my home state.

Porsche the cat, who went missing after Hurricane Sandy, made an amazing 8-mile journey back home to his family. Last Wednesday, when Carol Baumann, heard the cat’s meows on the back deck of their Toms River, New Jersey home. She couldn’t believe it.

“I saw the green eyes and I said, ‘My God in heaven, it’s Porsche!’” said Baumann.

As reported by NbcPhiladelphia.com, the beautiful black kitty and his family were evacuated by boat from their Toms River shore home after Hurricane Sandy. They stayed with relatives in Point Pleasant Borough until they could return home. While there, Porsche escaped from the house. Baumann and her mother Uranie Roberts thought they’d never see their dear cat again. But Porsche had other plans.

Porsche wanted to go home. On his long trek back to his family, the determined cat not only had to deal with traffic, he even crossed a bridge.

“It’s a miracle,” Roberts said.

Porsche certainly has some stories to tell.
