I love the story of this sweet, sweet tabby cat named Milly Moo and her favorite little dude, William Dutton.
According to the Daily Star, William, Milly Moo and their family live in Sandy, Bedfordshire, UK. William is three years old, just the age of my littlest human so this story is a favorite in our household.
The little boy was super scared to start his first day of preschool at The Maple Tree Lower School back in April. William’s mom said he was so nervous and anxious but somehow, Milly Moo the cat knew just how to calm him down.
The cat sat next to William as he put on his shoes and got ready to go. Vicky, William’s mama, says she could see William immediately relax with Milly Moo next to him.
Then, Milly Moo did something that surprised them all. She walked alongside William and Vicky all the way to William’s school (a 13-minute walk!), calming William’s nerves and showing moral support.
And then she walked back home with Vicky again and went about her cat-day.
Later that day, Milly Moo was waiting for Vicky to walk back to pick up William from school.
How cute is that? What’s even cuter is that Milly Moo has done that every day since!
