The sun was out, so human took me around to the bridge for some photos. And guess who showed up! Like you even have to guess.

Peach kitty looking over wall

Almost immediately, he poked his head over the wall, and next thing I knew, he came closer.

He got as close as the rose garden by the bridge before he paused.

He made himself at home for a while. Since he was distracting me and making it hard for me to sit still for photos, my human decided to let me get a little closer to him.

This is about as close as I was able to get before he decided it was time to leave.

He made sure to get in a good roll in the dirt before he took off.

I know a lot of you think I should welcome the peach kitty into my home, but it’s not that simple! Although he has been around here for about two years now (along with his brother, sister and mother), and he is the bravest of his family, he still won’t come near my human. He is friendly to her from a distance, but if he thinks she is going to get close to him, he turns and runs off. So she has never even touched him. Even though she gives him treats and stuff, and he enjoys playing with me through the leaded glass doors. He knows she is a good person, and that she is my best friend, but he still has trust issues.

Of course my human could trap him, but she doesn’t want to do that. It would not be the best way to introduce him to the indoors, and might make him harder to socialize. So unless he is in some sort of danger, she prefers to let him set the pace, and if he wants to come inside, he will let her know when and if he is ready.
