ELLIE:  Mr. Waffles, do you think the dinner guests will see us down here?

WAFFLES:  Only if they sit down on these chairs.

ELLIE:  But won’t they see us through the glass table first?

WAFFLES:  I suppose you’re right, what with Glogirly’s glass top dining room table.

ELLIE:  So what’s the plan, Mr. Waffles.

WAFFLES:  You distract them by doing something, you know, kitten-y and cute. Then I’ll grab the food and run.

ELLIE:  I think YOU should distract them and I should grab the food.

WAFFLES:  Sorry, Ellie. You just don’t have enough experience at this. You weren’t around for the Beef Tenderloin Incident of 2014 or the 2015 Great Kentucky Fried Chicken heist.

ELLIE:  This isn’t going to end well, is it?

Glogirly and Gloman had their dear friends over for dinner Saturday night. At least they said they were friends. But they all smelled suspiciously like our VET. (Can you believe they are actually friends with our Vet?!!! Oh, the horror!)

Ellie and Waffles were supervising the setting of the table in anticipation of dinner. But their plans of absconding with the food were foiled once everyone arrived. Waffles eagerly greeted everyone while Ellie kept her distance until everyone left the house and the house was determined to be clear of interlopers.

While many of our friends were turning their air conditioners on last week, we had another few inches of fresh snow. In fact it snowed 8″ while Glogirly was out skiing at her local hill, Eldora Mountain Ski Resort. It was downright freezing! You can tell because her lips wouldn’t cooperate when she tried to smile for her selfie.

But just a couple of days later it was sunny and beautiful for Eldora’s closing day. Glogirly and her friends all dressed up in festive outfits to celebrate. She’s going to miss her almost daily treks to the mountain, but there are still a few ski areas in Colorado that will remain open for at least another few weeks.
