If you have been on this site for awhile, you know who Rags is. For those who do not know him, he was my childhood Ragdoll cat. Today is his birthday, but he is now long passed.
Rags was born on 8/8/89. I will always honor his birthday on the site because he is the reason this site exists. 8 is my favorite number. It is also the reason I do a lot with 8s on the site. For example, every blog post is published at 8:08 am Kansas City time every day. Rags was born in California, so perhaps I should have it published on Pacific Time – but I don’t because his life was spent in Kansas City.
Rags’ face is the one you might from our profile image on YouTube. He was one of the greatest loves of my life – and I am so thankful he was in it for the 19.5 years that he was – as my love for him helped to create this website, which has become my livelihood and one of my great joys.
