Rogz Night Cat Collars are 3/8-Inches wide and fully adjust for neck sizes between 8-inches and 12-inches. Not only is the Night Cat Collar fitted with the Rogz Breakaway Safety Buckle, which allows your kitty to break out of their collar should the collar become snagged, but it now also has the new patented Variable Load Safeloc Buckle feature. This allows the break-away load of the buckle to be adjusted to open at +6.6lbs (lowest setting), +8.8lbs (middle setting) and +11lbs (maximum setting). This will accommodate different size cats being able to break out of their collar should the need arise. With its color-coded and removable bell, satin-weave nylon webbing and polyurethane reflective as found on sports shoes with an overlay print, your cat will shine out amongst all the others when prowling the streets at night. All Night Cat Collars are scratch-resistant and their rolled edges are stitched as well to ensure no open ends or sharp edges on the product. Suitable for most cat breeds and sizes and available in 3 cool designs.

I was looking for a reflective collar for my cats in case one of them got out. To my surprise, the choices were extremely limited. Rogz Nightcat collar was definitely the best of the bunch. A lot of other brands either had extremely poor design or the reflective material was not up to par. The silver material on the inner part of the collar looks exactly like the 3m Scotchlite 8910 I use for work, which is rated at 500m. This is perfect for what my cat needs in case he gets out at night.
For those who don't think its natural for cats to wear collars or are worried about the strangle risks, in 2010 there was a study at Ohio St, reported by the NY Times. It says that 2{9566c0a8c38d7ef68d82188668983429d8c3d2118cd02557d3ef814309ae7d10} of all lost cats in shelters gets returned to their owners and only a few cats out of 538 actually injure themselves (none severely) with a collar in a 6 month study. [...] Also make sure to put on your cats collar correctly, it should be tight enough so that 1 or 2 fingers can fit inside the collar. Lastly, the collar includes a rectangular loop that is not pictured so that you can gather up the double layer portion of the collar where the plastic slide is. If you want a reflective collar, this is the product to get and boy have I spent enough to make that conclusion. 0

A break-away collar that stays on during normal wear!, By

This is the second Rogz cat collar I've ordered -- mainly since I was so impressed with the first! I have two active male cats. They're indoor-only, but they do roughhouse and wrestle with each other when they play. I can't count the number of times I've found opened collars around the house when I was buying the thinner, less-expensive brands. The Rogz collars are super-dooper sturdy, and the reflective designs are attractive, too.

An excellent breakaway collar if used correctly,

Many reviewers have complained that this collar breaks away too easily. I have noticed that every time the collar opens, it resets itself to the lightest breakaway strength, which is pretty easy to open. Each time the collar is reclosed it should be set to the desired strength using the little plastic "screw" knob with a fingernail or something.
Of course, every animal is different so maybe there are some monster cats out there who can easily bust out of the strongest setting. My 7.5 pound cat does just fine with the lowest setting and I am glad that I can make it stronger if she gets much larger. I think this collar is one of the best breakaways to buy because you can never tell exactly which breakaway strength your cat will need, so it's best to have three options in one collar. Additionally, it has very nice reflective qualities, and a small bell that doesn't seem to bother the kitty too much 🙂 0 |
